This weekend we popped down to Southampton to see my brother in law Dan, and his girlfriend Sonya. We had a really nice weekend. Got there at about 7.30 friday evening, had a yummy curry, wine and watched a film. I saw we watched a film, I mean the others watched a film while I fell asleep in front of it (well when the film is only started at 10.30pm what do you expect?!). On Saturday poor Sonya had to work on her dissertation while the rest of us went
shopping in Portsmouth. I managed to spend a fair amount of money, but everything was a bargain so it doesn't matter really! I got a jumper for £10 and some jeans for £30 both from French Connection. I think Adam despairs of me a bit on the jeans front, I do have about 6 pairs! I also got a new gym top, which matches my gym trousers so now I look really cool! And we splashed out on some canvases for our lounge. We've wanted to get something for ages, but haven't really seen anything, so it was really nice to finally find something which will complete the room. We went out for Pizza on Saturday night, and for a few drinks. I got asked for ID, and as I hardly ever take anything out with me these days, had to pull the 'Oh I haven't brought anything with me because my HUSBAND has got everything' line. It seemed to work! We left first on Sunday morning, and got home around lunchtime.
I am currently trying to work, but am really too busy looking at my ebay bids, am still winning a
jacket for £1 and some
trainers for £5.50 at the moment! I'm quite excited about them both because I saw them both in the shops for around £50, deliberated about buying them, decided I would, went back to get them and they were gone!
This week is appraisal week. I've actually had mine already, but have to do ones for my team. I actually hate this time of year, but I guess it has to be done. Just planning on having a little chat with everyone, and setting a few objectives. Fortunately I haven't got any bad ones to do this year!
Next weekend Ang and Nick are coming down to visit, so Ang and I can talk weddings while Adam and Nick talk football, should keep everyone happy!
