The weekend

Lets just say it was eventful!

We went up to Birmingham for one of my best friends from uni's wedding. First of all we tried to pick Jenny up from her hotel, which ang had told us was just down the road from ours. It wasn't. We didn't have aclue where her hotel was, so unfortunately had to leave her stranded to get a taxi, and head to the church by ourselves. Simon was meant to be meeting us at the church too. He is always late, and it was no surprise to us that he wasn't at the church when Ang started walking down the aisle. (I distinctly remember him overtaking us when we were on our way to my own wedding in the wedding car!) It was a surprise, however, to get a message from him saying he had walked into the wrong wedding, which was taking place just over the road from the church! He did manage to get to the right wedding in time to see most of the ceremony though!

Sometime during the photos, after Adam went back to the car to get the umbrellas, our car was broken into (pics on flickr). They have managed to completely ruin the door. Why not just smash the window? We would have been able to get that fixed the very same day, but no, bend the door so it needs replacing, and means we have to drive home without a window why don't you?! They only took Adam's broken phone too.

But anyway, it was an absolutely lovely day, Ang looked beautiful, and Nick scrubbed up rather well too. It was a little bit rainy while the photos were being done, but it only got worse while we were inside at the reception. (by this time we had a bin bag over the window to stop the majority of the rain coming in).

Looking forward to the next 3 weddings over the next 5 weeks!

As Sarah was moaning at me, here they are! There are more on Flickr for you to look at.

Sorry...

For being a bit remiss with the photos. I have no excuses really, just haven't got round to it! Maybe I'll manage to upload them while Adam's at footie tonight.

In other news... Adam has got a job! Its in Basingstoke which is a little further away than we had hoped, but never mind! Its still doing some sort of financy type stuff, investigating complaints (don't ask me, I don't understand it!). It does mean we'll probably need a second car, so Steve, we could be in touch fairly soon! we're thinking of keeping the 306 for the moment, and getting a slightly smaller car for me to potter around Abingdon, then when he's settled we might look to change the 306 too.

I think a celebratory tea is in order!
